I'm not actively blogging here anymore. But if you got here because you were searching for something about bikes, you might want to check out my latest project, Vermont Goldsprints. In summer of 2014, I bought a used goldsprints racing setup and have made it a mission to get more bikes in more people's faces by putting on fun races in unexpected places. Come join me!
Yesterday we packed up a truckload of stuff, drove it out to ABF in Seekonk, unpacked it from the truck into a few linear feet of a tractor trailer, drove the truck back. It was about a 12 hour operation, all told, but what remains now is to pack the cars for the move to Montana. It will be a short day tomorrow, just up to my parents' house, then from there into Ohio or so, aand onward. It feels like there's no time to think, just keep lifting, packing, putting things into things, doing last minute laundry. I am both excited and terrified, but I keep seeing references to Montana in everything I read, on the cover of a book in a bookstore window, a Montana plate on a car (pretty uncommon on Cape Cod. I'm ready. I just found all my old harmonicas- I haven't played in so long... that goes on the list of things to do more of when we get out there. Right now, we are trying to figure out how to cram my brother in law's drum set in with all the other stuff. Fun.
