Gone Fishin'

I'm not actively blogging here anymore. But if you got here because you were searching for something about bikes, you might want to check out my latest project, Vermont Goldsprints. In summer of 2014, I bought a used goldsprints racing setup and have made it a mission to get more bikes in more people's faces by putting on fun races in unexpected places. Come join me!

Some thoughts and happenings: -The Masi Guy elevated a comment I left on his blog to a post of its own. I like the Masi Guy, I like his blog, and I really like Masi Bikes. A post on the blog today, a Speciale Fixed or Speciale CX in the mail next week? (Seriously, check these bikes out, they are gorgeous). -It is blazing hot in Missoula, and went well over 90 yesterday. As a result, snowmelt is accelerated and the rivers are at or near flood stage. -A little group ride I started at REI grew to six people today and we kept a nice pace of about 17mph on average. I had a great time and am enjoying road biking a great deal. -Packing for the big move has commenced, and is proceeding slowly but smoothly. -I'm really enjoying Gangstagrass, a freely available remix album. Use Bittorrent to get it rather than the direct download link on the site and check it out.

Well, the name of this blog has become oddly prophetic, or I guess it was, in hindsight. Kate and I will be returning to the Burlington, Vermont area in June. I have taken a position as Assistant Town Planner for the town of Williston. There is much left to write about our experiences here in Montana, and much more to write about what I look forward to in this next phase of life, but its 80 degrees and sunny in Missoula right now, I'm flexing some time off and home early, and the bike beckons. More to follow, soon.
