Gone Fishin'

I'm not actively blogging here anymore. But if you got here because you were searching for something about bikes, you might want to check out my latest project, Vermont Goldsprints. In summer of 2014, I bought a used goldsprints racing setup and have made it a mission to get more bikes in more people's faces by putting on fun races in unexpected places. Come join me!

Body Work: Week Seven Journal and Summary

Seven weeks is a landmark for me. In the past, when I have embarked on one of my all-running/no-dieting attempts to get back in shape, seven weeks is the amount of time it takes me to get up to my full weekly mileage and is usually around the time I start to see any impacts of my efforts. This time around, at seven weeks, I can see and feel quite a difference. A lot of my clothes are fitting much better, and I am sleeping and feeling better all around. Body Work: Week Six Journal and Summary

There's a sordid tale of food and inactivity at the end of this week, a natural byproduct of a trip to the Disneyland of food that is my In-laws' house for a four-day visit. Week 6 Summary:

Goal: Lose 30 pounds, from 224.17 pounds down to 194.17 pounds by the week of June 1, 2011, calculated using 7-day average weight.

Escape to the Cape

Body Work: Week Five Journal and Summary

It was something of a plateau week this week, depute a great deal of additional exercise. Coupled with a little less restraint in the food department, I didn't see a whole ton of movement, but at least the movement I did see was in the right direction. Gory details follow:

Off the Bike- Indoor Edition

I've been pretty consistent about getting on the rollers more nights than not over the last month. Tonight, I meant to ride, part of my plan to save my one day off per week for Sunday.

It didn't happen.
