Body Work: Week 17 Summary and Journal


This is the final edition of the weekly journals that started the whole Body Work Series. In short, I made my goal and even a little extra, and I'm feeling great. 119 days, 32.37 pounds lost. I was also able to complete a 100 mile "ride" on my rollers, which became part of my Body Work goals as I realized that I generally enjoyed riding them and thought it might be a good challenge. There's more to come though, so be on the lookout on this blog for the next Body Work series as i refine my goals and strategies. Click through for the tale of the tape and the gory details:

Week 17 Summary:

Goal: Lose 30 pounds, from 224.17 pounds down to 194.17 pounds by the week of June 1, 2011, calculated using 7-day average weight.

Progress:
Average Weight:  191.8 pounds, down 1.89 pounds from 193.69 pounds last week.
Average Body Fat: 24.09%, down .40% from  24.49% last week.

Weeks until Goal:  0
Progress toward Goal: 32.37 pounds out of 30 total to lose; 107.9% of goal.
Pounds to Lose: -2.37
Pounds to Lose/Week to Meet Goal: -2.37

Total Exercise:
160 minutes riding outside, 424 minutes on the rollers. 584 total, 299 more minutes of cardiovascular exercise than last week’s 285 minutes.  


Daily Journal:

Day 113:
Monday, May 30, 2011. 191.8 pounds, 24.1% Body Fat.

Exercise:
71-ish minutes on the rollers. 25 miles on the computer.

Day 114:
Tuesday, May 31, 2011. 191.8 Pounds, 24.1% Body Fat.

Exercise:
40 minutes on the bike to and from work.

Food:
Oatmeal for breakfast and a sweet potato for a late lunch. Totally crashing as the long weekend’s sugar and fat reserves are depleted.

Day 115:
Wednesday, June 1, 2011.

Exercise:
40 minutes on the bike, to and from work. 69 minutes on the rollers.

Food:

Day 116:
Thursday, June 2, 2011.

Exercise:
40 minutes on the bike to and from work.

Food:
Two fried eggs on one slice of buttered toast.

Day 117:
Friday, June 3, 2011

Exercise:
40 minutes on the bike to and from work. 284 minutes on the rollers. 101 miles in 25, 34, 20, 17, and 5 mile increments with breaks in between.
